Revision history

In 1979, in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania, Everhart & Hoover Power Line Construction, Inc. was founded to deliver reliable utility construction with an unwavering commitment to quality and safety.

RevDescription
01979: a single distribution crew and one truck. We set out to support the region's growing infrastructure, building lasting relationships with rural electric cooperatives, municipalities, and investor-owned utilities.
1Diversified into transmission, underground, and substations. Trust is earned through consistent performance, transparent communication, and exceeding expectations.
2Added specialty services: hydro excavation and rock drilling, so one contractor covers the job from the hard ground up.
3Today: 30 employees, 10 drivers, 300 completed projects across Pennsylvania and surrounding states, still grounded in the values that started it all.

Why utilities call us

  1. Family-owned, field-focused. Hands-on leadership that knows the job from the ground up, because we've done the work ourselves.

  2. Utility-trusted expertise. More than 40 years in the field, with the knowledge and precision complex utility projects need, done safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

  3. Purpose-built equipment. From hydro-vac trucks to rock drills and boom-mounted hammers, a fleet built for the work and ready for any terrain.

  4. Reliable delivery. Planning, communication, and skilled crews deliver consistent results that keep your infrastructure moving.

  5. Weathered storms. Literal and figurative. Our 24/7 emergency response means that when disaster strikes, we're there to restore and rebuild.

Safety is not just a priority. It's a value.

Everhart & Hoover works closely with our employees and customers to keep the work environment safe for our crews and for the public. Safety isn't just a protocol; it's part of our culture, and it reflects real care for our people and the communities we serve.
