Overview

Everhart & Hoover has completed transmission projects from new extensions to complete rebuilds. Voltages have ranged from 46 kV to 138 kV, and designs have included single wood poles, 2- and 3-pole wood structures, self-supporting concrete, and steel poles.

We manage the logistics, specialized equipment, and regulatory requirements that come with greenfield builds, rebuilds, and voltage upgrades. Rough terrain, tight timelines, critical infrastructure: our crews are trained and equipped to deliver, safely and on schedule.

Building transmission lines takes planning, coordination, and precision at scale. We start with a detailed assessment of the route, terrain, and requirements. These lines don't just carry power; they carry responsibility.

Questions, answered

The questions we hear most. Don't see yours? Ask us directly.

RFI-01What voltages do you work with for transmission projects?
Response

Typically 46 kV to 138 kV, with experience across a range of system designs and requirements.

RFI-02Can you handle difficult terrain or remote sites?
Response

Yes. Our crews are equipped for rugged, off-road conditions and have completed projects across challenging environments.

RFI-03Do you manage permits and right-of-way coordination?
Response

We work closely with engineers, utilities, and permitting agencies to support right-of-way access and compliance throughout the project.

RFI-04How do you ensure safety during high-voltage work?
Response

Safety is built into every step: strict protocols, ongoing crew training, and certified equipment for every task.

RFI-05How early should we involve your team?
Response

The earlier the better. Involving us during planning helps avoid delays, reduce costs, and keep the build smooth from start to finish.
